Are you in search of authentic Reiki training? Tired of browsing "Reiki near me" without finding the right Reiki class? Look no further! San Diego Reiki offers the only remaining publicly available traditional Japanese Reiki seminars - Jikiden Reiki®.
Jikiden Reiki® ("directly taught Reiki") lineage is the original Reiki method which was taught by the founder of Reiki Mikao Usui, which has been passed down to Chiyoko Yamaguchi directly by Dr. Hayashi, one of Mikao Usui's main disciples.
Unlike other Reiki teachings, Jikiden Reiki remains unaltered and untouched by Western influences, preserving the original method as it was practiced in Japan. It is the truest form of Reiki instruction you'll find, honoring the authenticity and essence of this traditional Japanese mind-body healing practice.
We invite you to experience the profound teachings of Jikiden Reiki and embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing.
Join Jikiden Reiki seminars with Dr. Danilychev, MD at San Diego Reiki and become part of a lineage deeply rooted in the original Japanese Reiki tradition.
The seminar will be conducted at our Mission Valley location:
4420 Hotel Circle Court, Ste. 265, San Diego, CA 92108
10/14, 10/15, 10/21, 10/22/23
10 am ~ 6 pm each day
$750 for new students including all the materials and certification. $250 for repeating students
All Reiki classes at San Diego Reiki are taught directly by Dr. Maria Danilychev, MD - a quadruple-board certified medical doctor (internist, geriatrician, hospice and palliative medicine specialist, and a clinical research physician) who is also a Jikiden Reiki Shihan (practitioner and teacher) certified by the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan. Dr. Danilychev's Reiki lineage traces back directly to the founder of Reiki Mikao Usui:
Mikao Usui → Dr. Hayashi → Chiyoko Yamaguchi → Tadao Yamaguchi → Dr. Danilychev
Dr. Danilychev's remarkable journey as a medical doctor and Jikiden Reiki Shihan creates a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western healing practices, making Dr. Danilychev an extraordinary teacher who brings a unique blend of knowledge and experience to her Reiki instruction.
What started as an unexpected revelation at the beginning of Dr. Danilychev's Reiki journey has now evolved into nearly two decades of undeniable observational evidence of the effectiveness of Reiki. Prepare to be captivated by Dr. Danilychev's remarkable stories of Reiki healing in action! Join our next Jikiden Reiki seminar and experience the true potential of this simple yet powerful Japanese mind-body healing art!
Your Jikiden Reiki training will be conducted in a small-group setting (maximum 5-6 people per class). It will include instruction, hands-on practice, as well as the official certification by the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan. To become a Certified Jikiden Reiki Practitioner, you need to complete Shoden and Okuden seminars.
In Shoden, you will learn the history of Reiki, Reiki principles, and all the essential techniques of hands-on Reiki practice. You will receive three Reiju (attunements) during the Shoden seminar.
In Okuden, we will dive deeper into the practice of Reiki, connecting to Reiki for mental blocks, emotional challenges, and bad habits, as well as self-Reiki and distance Reiki. You will receive two Reiju during Okuden.
Upon successful completion of Shoden and Okuden, you will receive an authentic traditional Japanese Certificate from the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan.
Your Jikiden Reiki certification allows you to join our weekly practice and monthly review with Reiju. This is where you are able to experience true apprenticeship-type learning with your teacher. All students (even those who have been practicing Reiki for many years) are encouraged to attend.
After at least 6 months of practice, you can apply for teacher training as an "assistant teacher" or Shihan-Kaku. Those seminars are only conducted a few times a year (you may need to travel to Japan or another location to attend).
It is typical for traditional Japanese practices, martial and healing arts to have distinct levels of training. The same is true for traditional Japanese Reiki. In Jikiden Reiki there are several levels. Completing Shoden and Okuden allows one to become a practitioner of Reiki. There are also several teacher levels:
While Reiki energy is the same regardless of the level of training, each level contains more depth of understanding and additional honor and responsibility.
